Excellent room - very spacious Close to Ocean Drive and the beach

Housekeeping eratic - sometimes they came, sometimes they didn't....constant battle for clean towels - housekeeping kept taking towels away and not replacing them Parking very expensive Security poor - anyone can walk into the hotel - could really use security at night

Very nice building, very beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Had a great time.

The few light bulbs out in the room in the TV didn't work well first I had to call the front desk End, they took care of it. Apot, from that, everything was great.

Perfect for a staycation like me of a vacation!

I have always wanted to stay in a Miami Beach hotel. They've always been unique, cute, and made me feel like they were out of a movie. This hotel is no different. Originally built in 1938, the architecture was absolutely gorgeous and within walking distance of many tourist attractions, including the beach. The bed was comfortable, the tv and couch were perfect, and the garden was adorable. Staff was always professional and happy to help whenever I needed it. I was there for a film festival and it was perfect walking distance to the venue, as well as other points of interest like Versace Mansion and (if you're a movie buff) sets from various movies like Scarface and Bad Boys.

In order to get to my room, I had to go outside into the garden and walk up stairs to get to my room. After I checked in it was no big deal, but traveling up and down (especially when I went up the wrong stairway...oops...) with a suitcase and backpack was something I was not a happy camper about. Whoever built this hotel (no fault of the current staff) didn't realize that Florida weather tends to be unpredictable. This detail can't be helped since the hotel was built in 1938, and is just a nitpick on my end. Mind you, the hotel does have elevators! If you are unable to use stairs they are able to accommodate for you! I am able-bodied and CAN use stairs but if that weren't the case I am certain that they would have put me in a different room accessible by elevator! The only small thing I had an issue with was that there was a mini fridge but no microwave in the room. Not a huge deal. After all, when in Miami, one must try all different types of foods.

Nice for short stay

Good location and staff, always prompt to help. Room was comfortable.

I had some issues with water and AC in the room, but were fixed. Elevator took a while to work again and there was no ice machine for 3 days.

The hotel is near Lincoln Road and 5 mins ride to the convention center. Behind the hotel is the beach and with a lot of restaurants nearby. Staff are nice to give you a hand when asking.

I can not get an invoice either from the hotel or the booking dot com.

Very Good

Everything is within walking distance. It's in the heart of The Art Deco District, a block over from the beach, a CVS, restaurants and blocks away (walking or quick Uber) to other areas of South Beach. I prefer quieter spaces and you can still find some within the hustle and bustle of S. Beach. I enjoyed reading on the rooftop, watching the world go by.

It was fine. I really appreciated the early check in so it kind of erased the things I didn’t like.

I got to check in quite early. The building was interesting looking. Staff was quite nice.

Staff said to call in the morning to extend checkout to 12pm if I needed. I called the next morning and asked for this, and was told I could not. Completely different info given by the same person. Also the beds were a little soft for my preference and the AC was so loud it woke me repeatedly throughout the night.

Lovely hotel but choose your room carefully!

Firstly, the hotel is a lovely example of the art period. The entryway smelled lovely, I think they had scented candles burning. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The room was massive and looked lovely. The sofas were comfortable and the fridge was an added bonus, especially as at the time of staying, the onsite bar was closed. The bed was also very comfortable. Location wise, the hotel is very close to the beach and the bars and restaurants.

The curtains didn't close properly and I had to pin them together with the trouser hangers. Being on the ground floor with a pavement just beyond the shrubbery, this was a problem in the evening. The television signal was dreadful and kept going off. Not vitally important but if you did want to relax of an evening in your room, it was a bother. The worst thing was the noise. My lord, every single hotel, bar, restaurant seemed to be open air and must have been competing for the loudest sound-system award. This didn't wind down till 3am. We stayed mid-week, I can't imagine how bad it must have been at the weekend. If you are reserving a suite, make sure it is towards the centre of the suite block, not right on the street.

Check in at 3 p.m, we came in the morning and confirmed about in advance but could get into the room only 3.30 p.m

Location is excellent. Very nice staff. I liked the free drink and that we could use facilities at the other hotels close by.

The reception area is old and needs an upgrade. The bar is closed and the poolarea is deserted.
